  1. Farsi Screen Saver for Windows(c) 3.x
  2. ---------------------------------------
  3.     This program (as far as I know) is the first Farsi Screen Saver 
  4.     for MS-Windows. It brings up Farsi proverbs from a file (amcal.ffw)
  5.     and shows them on your PC's screen. All the proverbs used in this
  6.     program are coming from the 4 volume book of "Amca-o-Hekam" which
  7.     is one of many great works of Mr. Ali-Akbar Dehkhoda.

  9.     This program comes with more than 650 proverbs, that I personally
  10.     choosed from that book. I will try to put more and more of these 
  11.     wonderful proverbs in my program, in a near feature.

  13. Requirement:
  14. ------------
  15.     - An IBM(R) compatible  personal computer.
  16.     
  17.     - MS-DOS(R) ver. 5.0 or above.
  18.     
  19.     - MS-Windows(C) 3.1 or WfW(C)3.11 (I am not sure if this program 
  20.       works under NT(C) or Win95) with more than 128kByte of free memory.
  21.     
  22.     - About 300k Bytes of free hard disk space.
  23.     
  24.     - PKUNZIP(C) ver 2.04G (you can find it on many BBS's around the 
  25.                 world)

  41. How does it work?
  42. -----------------
  43.     This screen saver works like the "Marquee" which comes with Windows
  44.     3.x, the only difference is that FSCRSAV3 reads its data randomly 
  45.     from a file (AMCAL.FFW) and shows them on the screen by movings them 
  46.     slowly from right to left.

  48.     Size, colour, speed and position of text can be changed. Colour and 
  49.     position of the proverbs can be set to "Random" and then it will show 
  50.     the proverbs in different colours and on different parts of your 
  51.     screen.

  53. How much does it cost?
  54. ----------------------
  55.     I wrote this program for myself, because I love Farsi proverbs and 
  56.     they always remind me of my grand mother who used to tell us stories 
  57.     about the meaning and origin of these proverbs. Sometimes ago when 
  58.     I started my Farsi For Windows project, I thought it would be a good 
  59.     idea to make a program that shows Farsi proverbs on the computer 
  60.     screen. It was first in the beginning of 1994 when my Farsi editor 
  61.     became stable and I could save my file without causing the system to 
  62.     crash, then I started to write this program. 
  63.     I am trying to increase the amount of provers in this program all 
  64.     the time. There are still som functions which are not implemented 
  65.     yet, which I try to when I have some "free" time from my other 
  66.     projects.
  67.     
  68.     Since I did not wrote this program to earn some money, I do not want 
  69.     people to pay for it. 
  70.  
  71.     So it is free!  The only thing I ask you for, is to let me know 
  72.             whether you like this program or not. By sending me 
  73.             a letter, a postcard with a picture of the town you 
  74.             live in, or if you have access to E-mail, by writing 
  75.             a few lines to give me your opinion about the program.
  76.             That would be the best payment for my job.

  78.     This means that you can install it on how many computers you want, 
  79.     copy it and send it to your friends or put it on a BBS. There are 
  80.     some restrictions that you must follow:

  82.         - This program is copyright of SE&SE and should not be 
  83.           modified, or be included in any commercial product. No part 
  84.           of this program should be used in other product, without
  85.           the written permission of SE&SE.

  87.         - All the files in this archive must be in the copy, 
  88.           specially this file and the README.WRI.

  90.         - You should not charge people for this program, you should 
  91.           only charge people for the cost of the media and your work,
  92.           but not more than 5 US$ or 35 Skr

  94.         - You can use FARSI_1.TTF (the truetype) font for your personal
  95.           use, you can include it in any publicdomain or freeware
  96.           program. The only restriction is to send information about 
  97.           the origin of that file, with your program.

  99.         - You use this program at your own risk, I do not guarantee 
  100.           it's functionality. SE&SE is not responsible for any damage 
  101.           on your computer that directly or indirectly caused by using
  102.           this program. If you think this program may cause any damage 
  103.           to your computer, then my advice to you is :

  189.     Since I am putting more and more proverbs in amcal.ffw, and I try to 
  190.     complete those part which are not implemented yet, it would be a good 
  191.     idea to look for new versions every now and then.
